Great ideas—but no time to write?

“The Writers’ Group was invaluable. They developed the proposal
for my book in just three weeks.

It was purchased for a substantial sum by our first-choice publisher.”
J. Michael Menke, PhD, DC, University of Arizona

Problem—No Time

You may already know how frustrating it can be to work on a book. When you want to write, you don’t have the time. When you have the time, you may not have the energy.

The problem is that you have a career and a life. As passionate as you are about your book, it may be way down on your list of priorities. You don’t want to stay up night after night, dragging yourself into work every day exhausted.

The traditional way of writing a book just isn’t working for you…

Our approach enables you to write on your own timeline, so you can get your ideas out of your head and onto the page. With our support, you can keep working your way through your book, step by step, week by week, without negatively affecting your professional or personal life. Before you know it, you’ll have a completed book.

Solution—Write by Talking

You’re the expert—your insight and passion for your subject are apparent whether you’re explaining your ideas at a meeting or a cocktail party. Yet capturing that vision on paper isn’t always as easy—the ideas may not flow when you’re sitting alone at the computer late at night, staring at the screen.

With our approach, you can talk your way through your book in a series of interviews. We use a process we call Write by Talking to capture the unique ideas you bring to the table. The process is direct and quick.

Working with you by phone enables us to capture your ideas efficiently. It’s surprising how much content you can generate in a 30-minute interview—typically about 20 pages of transcript. Within a few days we have the text in hand. At that point, we begin sculpting your book from the raw transcript. This process creates copy that is written in your words, preserving the nuances of your personal style.

Reviewing the conversation, we focus in on your core message. What will captivate your readers? Which ideas are most compelling? How can we best convey what is unique to you?

There is no criticism or judgment. We just keep identifying your best work, featuring it, and organizing it into a cohesive flow until it fills an entire book.
This process overcomes the greatest challenge of all—getting the book done at a brisk pace without sacrificing quality.

Result—Your Book!

You’re a font of terrific ideas—but before you get a chance to implement even one, you probably get another. It’s not the lack of ideas or their expression that gets in your way—it’s a matter of capturing them and then getting them written up, organized, polished, and published.

We can free you up to create as many ideas as you want. Like magic, they’ll suddenly appear in print.

You create the ideas. We’ll transform them into your book. You’re the starter.
We’re your finishers.

We used the 'Write by Talking' method to develop my book.
Nancy goes the extra mile. Her ability to pay exquisite attention to
everything throughout the project inspired total confidence.”
